Donald Trump weighs in on racist Roseanne controversy and asks for apology from ABC

After comparing former Obama senior advisor Valerie Jarrett to a monkey, ABC cancelled Roseanne Barr’s popular sitcom.

That tweet from Barr was swiftly deleted but not before sparking an epic social media firestorm.

Barr took to Twitter to apologize for the smear saying, “I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans. I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. I should have known better. Forgive me-my joke was in bad taste.” She says she plans to now leave Twitter (one can only hope for good), saying:

“It’s a joke,” she wrote in response to a CNN reporter.

ABC President Channing Dungey apparentely didn’t find the tweets funny and responded within hours with a statement cancelling the show:

Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show.

But the deplorables didn’t waste any time rallying their troops to send ABC and Dungey a message over their butt hurt feelings.

And now deplorables’ fearless leader Donald J. Trump, who has been an ardent supporter of the show, is now weighing in on the matter on Twitter.
