CNN’s Don Lemon not backing down from his statement about ‘white men’
CNN’s Don Lemon took issue with the wave of violence against minorities and flat out stated that “the biggest terror threat” in the United States “is white men.”
On Tuesday, Lemon appeared on Cuomo Prime Time to discuss the racially motivated shooting of two Black people killed in Kentucky at a Krogers supermarket by a white man., Newsweek reports. He also took issue with the characterization of a group of migrants who are making their way to the United States, seeking asylum and them being referred to as a threat by the President.

Lemon begged to differ and said “any one group or any one ethnicity” should not be demonized.
“I keep trying to point out to people not to demonize any one group or any one ethnicity,” Lemon told fellow CNN host Chris Cuomo.
“But we keep thinking that the biggest terror threat is something else—some people who are marching toward the border like its imminent, and when the last time they did this a couple hundred people came and they, most of them didn’t get into the country. Most of them got tuckered out before they even made it to the border.”
“So we have to stop demonizing people, and realize the biggest terror threat in this country is white men, most of them radicalized to the right, and we have to start doing something about them,” Lemon continued. “There is no travel ban on them, there is no ban—you know, they have the Muslim ban—there is no white guy ban, so what do we do about that?”
The shooting at a suburban Louisville, Ky., Krogers store was apparently racially motivated, according to what one witness said. Both victims were African American, and neither was believed to have known the gunman and the specific motive was unclear.
The two victims, identified by police as Maurice Stallard, 69, and Vickie Lee Jones, 67, were at the store when Gregory Bush, 51, allegedly opened fire inside, striking Stallard in the back of the head then firing at him multiple times while he lay on the floor, according to an arrest record.
He then reholstered his firearm and proceeded to the parking lot where he shot and killed Jones. A witness, Eric Deacon, who is also an EMT and said he tried to help the victim lying in the parking lot. But when he got to the woman, “she was gone,” he said. “There was nothing I could do.”
According to the Louisville Courier-Journal, Bush passed by Ed Harrell who was waiting in the parking lot for his wife. When he saw the commotion, he grabbed his own revolver, then came across Bush and asked him what was happening. Bush, who had his gun drawn and was holding it by his side told him: “Don’t shoot me. I won’t shoot you. Whites don’t shoot whites.”
